10/5-10/9 Quinata Academy Week in Review

Whew! What a week we've had! It seemed calm at the beginning, then it just took off from there. We started studying Kenya. We will finish with a grand finale tonight, as a friend has generously offered to talk to us about her Peace Corps adventures in Kenya complete with a slide show. Very exciting! We watched Duma this week as part of our African Animal study. It's an amazing movie that takes place in South Africa. I highly recommend it.

We got to participate this week at our first Roots and Shoots activity at the Roadrunner Food Bank which I wrote about earlier. We're hoping to participate in an Open Space Land Art exhibit. Here's more information.

We had a great park day in the fabulous fall outdoors here in Albuquerque! We really can't get enough of this weather or Cari, for that matter. :) We followed that by a spur of the moment decision to visit the Balloon Fiesta Glodeo with Auntie Mei Mei & kids. I'll have to post pictures later. It was breathtaking.

So, that was our week in review. Hope you all had a fabulous week past and a blessed week to come!
