I'm a former military child, who was given the privilege to be raised from sea to shining sea, and to be able to see life from another country's shore. I married my soul mate, whom I have known for more of my life than not. He is a modern day Renaissance man, as comfortable wearing a baby in a sling and making a polenta that will make your toes curl as he is wearing combat boots.
We have two beautiful children, Cristian and Isabella. Cristian is a creative, precocious child with a love of Legos and antagonizing his sister. Isabella is a sweet, sparkly child who loves learning, Hello Kitty, and devising ways to wreak havoc on her brother. I am immensely blessed to be able to teach them both from home. It's a beautiful thing to know that the skills they have learned are in part from your own hands. At the same time I learn as much from them.
One of these days I will put down roots with my beloved. I can't wait to be "born again" in the Rocky Mountains and leave "yesterday behind" me. In the meantime, I chronicle this idyllic and realistic life of military life, home school, and the many ways to torture paper here in my blog. Thank you for coming by, I hope you'll be back.
