gratitude

This week, you guessed it, is going to be about having a thankful heart! Yes, of course, we should always be thankful for everything we’re blessed with, but it’s not too often we actually sit and ponder what. This week please join me in writing 27 things you’re thankful (There’s got to be at least 27things!). I picked 27 because this year Thanksgiving is on the 27th of November.

Also, share a Scripture verse for this week!

1~ The love of my wonderful partner and helpmeet, Ron. I am so thankful that we are where we are in our marriage, it's like a second honeymoon. Marriage can be hard, but God teaches us so much if we're willing to have an open heart. Thank you for Ron!

2~ Thanksgiving leftovers... and being blessed to have had such a feast in abundance.

3~ My boy, Cristian. He's funny, he's smarter than your average bear, he keeps me on my toes, and it's unfair he was born with those lashes! I'm blessed to be this child's mom.

4~ Reddi-Whip. Really, it's happiness in a can.

5~ My Isabella. She's small, she's fiesty, she loves shoes. Ah, she's just like her mommy!

6~ Thrift stores. A plethora of deals just waiting to be had.

7~ The Internet. I've had the opportunity to "meet" and be inspired by so many wonderful people through this technology.

8~ Homeschooling. While I feel like this has been God's calling for our lives, I cannot discount the amazing lessons I have learned while having the privelege of teaching my children. It's been such a blessing.

9~ Family and friends that really are family. To love and be loved, really is there anything more we could wish for in life?

10~ God's amazing grace, and all the possiblities that exist with Him.

11~ Ron's work and the security it provides, as well as the pride he has in being a soldier.

12~ Our family's health.

13~ God has given us the chance to never stop learning.

14~ Those who protect our country (military, police officers, firefighters, and anyone else I'm forgetting) so that we may have the freedoms we often take for granted.

15~ The chance to live in Colorado and experience its beauty.

16~ Our homeschool group who have provided much support and opportunities.

17~ Having access to clean, drinkable water when I turn on my tap.

18~ Being blessed with the means to have a warm home on cold nights.

19~ Our Dexter, a loyal pet, my gardening buddy, who accompanies me everywhere and keeps my feet warm at night.

20~ Books, having ways to obtain them, and the time to read them.

21~ Google translator, because I'm not multilingual, but the blogs I visit often require such.

22. Having the opportunity to own our own home. It has been a great accomplishment for us, and we will miss it dearly.

23. Fuzzy socks and fuzzy sweaters on cold mornings.

24. Looking upon the Rocky Mountains and being absolutely stunned by God's majesty.

25. A husband who understands my need for solace and a breather.

26. Parts for our dryer arriving today! Yay!!!

27. A good cup a joe!

"A husband who understands my need for solace and a breather." Oh, that is so amazingly important!

Clean drinkable water! How often do we take that for granted. I enjoyed reading your list!
