toots & reviews

We've had a pretty lax couple of weeks. It was absolutely gorgeous last week, an absolute sin to stay indoors. This week was not quite the same. We did a little work in history & math, but most of what we've done has involved the park & Explora. We also did a bit of learning at the "dinosaur museum" & Rio Grande Zoo. All in the love of spring. So, this coming week we're gearing up to get back to business. Inspired by this site, I'm trying to get back to more creative teaching and embrace my love of instructing my kids. I checked out a gazillion books from the library about Ancient Egypt. After we build our ziggurat, we're about done with Mesopotamia, and moving on to Rosetta Stone & Egypt. I wish I had more to share from that vantage, but I don't. I think we're getting terribly pre-excited about Daddy coming home (I put in a ticker, Kate :D) & a bit of Spring Fever & that's holding stuff up a bit.

In other news, I am very excited to announce being the Chick of the Week over at Just Us Girls. Thanks so much, Dana! And, I was top four at The Playdate Cafe! Thank you, thank you! And thank you, Mona, for being such an inspiration & pointing the way to these challenge sites.

I love the ticker!!! Now I can keep track with you. (I know, I am weird that way...) But I am so happy for you that he is coming home!!! In only one month, one week, and two days. I can't wait for you all to be together.
