...my soldier is heading home. Just typing that gets me all choked up. C and I saw an Air Force plane off Kirtland Air Force Base and I told him, "Your Daddy's on his way to us as we speak." Elation and love are all wrapped up in this lovely package in my heart.
...my Grandpa "Mike" aged 92; the man who has been my grandfather since my biological grandfather passed away on the 4th of July 1988 is in a hospital just blocks from my casita. A couple weeks ago he fell and broke his hip. While recuperating, he fell again. Amongst the already consuming dementia, and hip injuries, he has contracted pneumonia while in the hospital. While I type this he cannot eat on his own, and has trouble breathing without assistance. He has a DNR order, extraneous measures will not be permitted. So, apprehension and a heavy heart are wrapped up in a quiet place in my heart....
