arigato gozaimasu...

Believe it or not, I've said this phrase several times in my life. I lived over seven years of my elementary & high school years in Japan. It holds a very special place in my heart. After all, I met my soldier there when I was a mere 15. It took us much longer than Japan to realize God meant for us to be together... {{shaking my head}} Please forgive my younger year memories. Whimsie Doodle's Miyako digistamp envoked these memories! Please participate in The Pink Elephant Challenge to win your own Miyako digistamp. All you have to do is follow this recipe:

3 layers of paper
2 die cuts
1 ribbon

I splurged this month on the Lite Lacy Labels cartridge from Cricut. I'm so glad I got it even though it's not as extensive as a traditional cartridge. I foresee myself using this quite a bit, as I did in this week's card! Miyako's background die, the frame die & the flower die are all from this cartridge.

{paper} Melissa Frances, GCD Studios & Girl's Paperie
{gems} Hobby Lobby
{ribbon} Michael's
{color medium} Staedler Pencils

Kirei desu yo! I knew we were connected in more ways than TPE and military life. heehee! I went to Japan while in high school for a month on a musical exchange. I fell in love with it all - Hokkaido, Sapporo, Tokyo, all such wonderful places with the friendliest people. Japan has a huge influence and vice versa on Hawaii, so nihongo is the language that students choose over Spanish. With that said, your card is sooo stunning with that new die cut! Beautiful colors, so warm and sweet. Wonderful job Tina!!
