Everything's Coming Up... well, you know

...Roses, Columbines, Echinacea, Squash, Zinnia's, Daylilies... Yup, they're all coming up. It seems in the month since I last took photos of our little garden, I've had to eat my words about my dear friend, Megan's, garden being on Miracle Gro. Mine's not on Miracle Gro (and neither is hers for that matter LOL), but my garden is loving this July sun! I showed a picture of my Zinnia's in a container garden because I have just added them this year and I so love how many colors they come in! They're so beautiful, although they seem to be a little fickle for me. I'm told they are a heat loving plant. Some of mine like the heat, some don't. Nevertheless, they're really fun. My rose tree has taken a bit of a beating :( It has come down with some sort of powdery fungus that we're trying to treat with Neem Oil. It has decided to give me a couple of sweet, red roses in the midst of it all, though. I showed the area under my Lilac bushes with some tiny plants last time. Well, I'm not a very patient woman, so all that went to the way side. I replanted shade loving Hostas, Daylilies, and Labrador Violets there last week. I'm so happy I did. It's a fun little spot in the yard. Wow! Check out the growth from the veggie garden. This is probably the most change of all. The squash has tripled in size. My potato plants finally decided to grow. The tomatoes are ready to give us little yellow and red fruits. I'm really excited and pleased. Our coneflowers began to make an appearance in the past week. Too, the morning glories in the background are really starting to take off. It's so much fun to start off with the Spring plants and know that there's so much more to come! I keep thinking it's like a symphony: okay, first flutes, then drums, finally cello! I had to take the next picture of the container garden with the happy Gazania! It just CALLED to me at the store today. It sure brightens up this container! My hot pokers just keep coming one after another. It's another really fun plant. I wasn't sure if it was going to do anything for me. I'm so glad it's made it's debut. My Columbine's keep going full force. In fact I think they've propogated! WOW! Just an amazing plant! Finally, my sunflowers are making the progress, too. Just tiny sprouts last picture time, they are getting bigger & I see little buds where the flowers will eventually be. This is an overwhelmingly satisfying hobby, that I grow to love each Spring, Summer, and Fall all the more.

Love the new pics! I'm also definately coveting your raised bed! Is that the one Ron made? And by the way, just for the record, you said my garden was on meth...no meth, no miracle grow...all organic, thank you very much!

Love you girlie,
M

P.S. I'm having Spaghetti Squash from my garden with truffle butter from the Los Ranchos Farmer's Market for dinner...
